For over a decade, designer Sarah Borgeson has drawn inspiration from the diverse worlds of art, architecture and nature to create her Santa Cruz, California-based jewelry line. A native Californian, Sarah creates her collections with an emphasis on versatility, color and texture to tell a story. As a sculptor with a formal education in sculpture and design from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Sarah’s interest lies in challenging common interpretations of color and materials to create work that is bold in its originality. Although Wild Iris Studio earned its reputation from the contemporary, sophisticated beaded glass designs its customers have come to rely on, Sarah’s keen sense of style allows her to adapt quickly to her customer’s needs. “I want to use the materials in my designs to solve a problem, to make a statement” says Sarah. “And my hope is that my designs open possibilities by empowering the contemporary woman to express herself through her own style.”
When not in the studio running the company they share, Sarah and her husband Jeremy are enjoying life with their two beautiful boys in their Northern California home.
